Bio 2012 Polly Rosenstein has lived most of her life in Virginia and graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a B.A. in English. When she moved to Northern Virginia a couple of years after college, she got a job with a brokerage firm and soon became a municipal bond trader for Dean Witter Reynolds in Washington, D.C. and Annapolis, a fixed income mutual fund bond portfolio manager for the Rushmore Funds in Bethesda, Md., co-manager of the fixed income trading department at DeRand, Pennington, Bass in Arlington, VA. , and a financial advisor at Merrill, Lynch in Alexandria. She became an independent advisor and formed Redstone Financial Advisors in 2006 where she offers these advisory services: investment management and financial planning. Polly is a general securities principal and an investment advisor representative. She holds these securities licenses: series, 7,24,53,63,65 and is licensed in eight states. She is a frequent speaker for women’s groups and holds a regular workshop for women for financial empowerment called Secrets of Successful High Earners. She also gives regular educational investment workshops on various topics of interest and includes men, too! Polly is an arbitrator for FINRA, the largest independent regulator for all securities firms doing business in the U.S. She is a member of Leadership Fairfax (Class of 2006), and Success in the City, a networking group, and a member of Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Polly is also active in Kairos Prison Ministry. She lives in Falls Church with her husband Dan and two old dogs. She has two grown daughters and two beautiful grandbabies. Polly loves dancing, Zumba, yoga, music, reading, movies, good food, and vacationing with her daughters.
